Centrifuge Training Website Redesign: Before & After

At Vasseur Creative Services, we specialize in transforming outdated websites into powerful digital tools. Our recent rebuild for Centrifuge Training, LLC is a great example of how the right design and structure can completely change the user experience.

The Challenge

Centrifuge’s previous website was over a decade old. It had a dated sidebar layout, long text-heavy pages, and lacked a clear way for users to register for classes or learn about instructors. This was especially frustrating because Centrifuge isn’t just another training company — they are badass leaders in tactical training, trusted by organizations like the FBI, CIA, Homeland Security, SWAT, and police departments across the country.

They offer highly specialized courses such as:

• High Risk Vehicle Stops Instructor Workshop – a critical look at the traditional “Felony Car Stop.”
• Low Light Instructor – an accelerated instructor course focused on scotopic environment manipulation.
• V.I.T. End User – hands-on training in real-speed vehicle interdiction, teaching practical techniques to manage high-risk, in-transit threats.
• Applied Urban Sniper – redefining the SWAT sniper role with a pragmatic, modern approach to law enforcement operations.

When I first met the owners, I was floored by the incredibly cool and important work they do. But their old website did not reflect how impressive or innovative Centrifuge really is.

The Solution

We rebuilt the site from the ground up with a modern, mobile-responsive framework and focused on making navigation easy, visuals strong, and the user journey clear. The new design finally captures the professionalism, credibility, and edge that define Centrifuge.

One huge advantage: many of the students and instructors who take Centrifuge classes also happen to be outstanding photographers and content creators. This meant there was no shortage of high-quality, action-packed imagery to choose from – which made my job of building a visually engaging site that much easier.

Class Pages: Old vs. New

The old class pages buried critical information in long blocks of text. The new class pages highlight key details, prerequisites, photos, and registration options in a clean, scannable format.

Instructor Pages: Old vs. New

Previously, all instructors were listed on a single page in plain text, making it hard to appreciate their individual expertise. Now, each instructor has their own dedicated profile page, complete with professional images, bios, and credentials. This not only highlights their credibility but also allows visitors to easily learn about the specific instructors leading each course.

The redesigned site now:
